Oh my gosh I'm so sorry guys, guess I kinda went on a hiatus. Whoops.
Well, my life's been kinda hectic lately, due to college getting tougher as we near the semester's end (Especially because I'm busy graduating high school and getting scholarships too! So, what's new with me?
School StuffI graduate on June 1st!
I have 30,000 out of 40,000 dollars of college paid for with grants and scholarships alone!
I'll have 38 college credits at the end of the semester.
We've got a band concert coming up so I'm practicing like crazy.
but most importantly...
IRELAND 2015So hopefully, Spring of 2015, I will be spending a semester abroad in Ireland. I really hope this happens. It would be from the
very end of February, through (about) the first week of May. It takes place in Louisburgh, County Mayo, where we stay in cottages
[link] for the duration of the trip.
Look at that description:
"Each year, students have the opportunity to spend spring semester in Ireland at the College of St. Scholastica's Study Center in Louisburgh, an unspoiled village in County Mayo. Louisburgh is on the west coast of the Republic of Ireland, only a short distance from Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick, and the bustling little town of Westport. Students live in fully furnished holiday cottages on the edge of the village, only a brief walk away from the center of Louisburgh and a slightly longer walk away from miles of beautiful beach.
The program consists of four 4-credit courses; topics and faculty change yearly. Irish guest lecturers and a combination of day trips, three-day trips, and a five-day trip ensure that participants visit almost all of the Republic of Ireland and gain first-hand knowledge of the people and culture."Sounds fun, right?
Best of all, my college tuition goes straight towards this... All that scholarship and grant money?
boom! It's gonna send me to Ireland.
Overall
I'm really excited for the next couple of years. Things are starting to pick up and I just keep getting happier! As a side note, the boyfriend and I are still going strong, and are coming up on our two-year on May 3rd. <3 I already got his present.
So my life's good, keeping me busy. I'll try to make more art for you guys.
What's new with you?
Much love,
~Jordyn Darking<3
